Damascus Clothing: As I Decrease, He Increases Tee

There have been so many moments in my life when the Lord has humbled me. When success comes my way, my first instinct is self-glorification—as if I am the source of my own blessings. I begin to idolize myself, believing I am "good" or that I have control over the abundance poured into my life.

On the other hand, when I face struggles, failures, or setbacks, I fall into self-condemnation—idolizing my weakness and dwelling on my inability to fix myself. I convince myself that I am worse than I truly am.

The truth is, both extremes—self-glorification in success and self-condemnation in failure—are rooted in pride because they keep the focus on me rather than on God. We often mistake humility for self-belittling, but humility isn’t about making ourselves smaller—it’s about making God bigger in our lives.

True humility is not thinking less of oneself, but thinking of oneself less. When we shift our focus away from ourselves, we allow God’s presence, purpose, and power to shine through us.

So as I decrease, He increases.
