Crown of Thorns- The crown of thorns represents the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for our sins. While we’re leading an active lifestyle centered around Christ, there are many sacrifices we must make, physically, mentally, and spiritually. While our sacrifices come no where near what Jesus did for us, they are sacrifices, nonetheless.

Sword- Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and active. It is sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

Damascus Pattern- The Damascus pattern on the blade represents the constant forging of our mind, spirit, and body, in order to become stronger and more resilient. We are Damascus steel, and God is our blacksmith. Without God’s unconditional love, mercy, and guidance, we are merely a dull blade that breaks upon impact.

Intentional Imperfections- At the bottom of the logo, the crown doesn’t line up. This is because Jesus broke the cycle of sin and death. The sword appears to be aligned to the left. Without Christ, our life can suddenly begin to feel off-balance. There are imperfections in the Damascus pattern itself. While we will never reach perfection, our constant following of His teachings and surrendering to his “forging” leads us closer.
